In the Netherlands, you pay with pin, contactless and, increasingly, via iDEAL or a payment request. Your customer expects the transaction to be completed in three taps, even on a busy Friday evening. A till sold here is set up for this as standard. A system you order separately from abroad often isn’t.
Just as important: the language. If you’re going to be working behind the bar with a German- or English-speaking team, you’ll want a POS system that you can manage as you see fit and staff who can speak to you in your own language.
