At most of our clients, a weekly rota goes from an hour and a half on Thursday evening, to 20 minutes on Wednesday morning. That difference is in two things: employees who have already submitted their availability (so no back-and-forth apps), and the template that the system remembers - if you have the same basic staffing every Friday, you don't have to re-enter that every week. For monthly rosters or more complex shifts, automatic scheduling is available in the higher-end packages.
The employee app is deliberately kept simple: view roster, report availability, clock in and out. Three taps of work. We find in practice that even employees who are not so digital use the app within a week, mainly because they have their timetable on their phone instead of having to call or drop by. Upon implementation, we give a brief explanation to you and your team leads, and you can pass it on to the rest from there.
