Coffeelovers

"Online insight into operations of all branches"
At Coffeelovers, every cappuccino is carefully and lovingly shaped by an in-house trained barista. And you can taste that! The tenth branch of the Limburg subsidiary of coffee roaster Blanche Dael will open in Heerlen in spring 2023. Every cup of coffee here is custom-made and the systems have to match that.

"Online & quick overview"

Michiel Scheijen, manager: "We needed online insight into all branches. From anywhere, i.e. in the cloud. In my previous work at GaiaZOO, I had good experiences with DISH's systems and Roltex's service. I was keen to continue that and fortunately my colleagues at Coffeelovers were keen too. All branches now use the DISH POS systems. We get a huge amount of information from it and the data is directly linked to our banking data and accounting package Exact."

Also an art

"DISH's tills are clear and simple," Michiel continues. All options such as types of milk and syrup, decaf, extra shot or whipped cream are visible at a glance. The simplicity also lies in the fact that there are no unnecessary functionalities in the till. That's also an art nowadays!

We also use the staff scheduler for all branches. Everyone finds it a convenient system and it saves me a lot of time. I can 'open' a shift that has not yet been filled and staff can sign up for that themselves."

One thing though

In the Plein 1992 branch, we use the bar and kitchen screens as well as allowing customers to order and pay themselves (via QR code). Michiel: "The QR ordering is especially nice when it's very busy. It works very well, in addition to the service at the table. The transition to the screens was still a bit of a hassle. Logical, the staff was used to the old way of working. They were also afraid that the screen would come between the customer and the staff. But by now, no one wants anything else. Hospitality does not suffer and we are happy with the overview the screens provide. Orders are always in the right order and at a glance you can see the cappuccino from three orders ahead. A good coffee needs time and attention, so it's nice if you can work ahead.

One wish is that we would like to be able to delay the order in the kitchen screen compared to the order at the bar. We are in contact with Roltex about this. They immediately take such a question very professionally, so I have every confidence in the answer."
